Belford army cadets have won even more trophies and again have come out top in competitions amongst other detachments in Northumberland. As well as winning shooting and military drill and skill competitions they have also been tops on the sports field. Our picture shows Sgt Guy Renner-Thompson and Sgt Craig Holman extreme left and right who with two other cadets (Lcpl Kevin Joyce and Lcpl Megan Smith) won nearly everything at the regional shooting competition. In the middle cadets Archie Little and Jack Metcalfe show their Silver Medals from the county athletics meeting. Further information about Belford army cadets can be found on the village website at www.belfordvillage.co.uk.

Belford Army cadet Guy Renner-Thompson receives his certificate and badge from the The Duchess of Northumberland as Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant Cadet for 2010. Guy will be assisting the Duchess with her Duties as Lord-LieutenantThis is a great honour for Guy and no mean achievement.

Belford army cadets have done it again by winning the County First Aid Championships in their age group. The cadets also came second in the overall championships only losing out to the Brigade champions. The test involved an individual and written examination for each member of the team plus a team test involving a casualty situation. The team were from left to right Cadet Hannah Parker, L/cpl Megan Smith, Cpl Craig Holman, L/Cpl Rebecca Riseborough and L/Cpl Gareth Davies.
