Belford Hall

Belford, Northumberland

Belford Hall, a Grade 1 Listed Building, was built by James Paine for Abraham Dixon, 1754 – 1756, and extended by John Dobson for William Clark, 1818 –1820. It was restored from a ruinous state, 1983 – 1988, and converted into private apartments. The communal areas of the interior and the gardens of one of the North’s most important Palladian Houses are open to the public by prior appointment.

 

Visits may be made (Summer 11.00 am – 4.00 pm, Winter 11.00 am – 3.00 pm), excluding Christmas and Easter, by prior arrangement.
