The National Federation of Women's Institutes (NFWI), is the largest voluntary organisation for women in the UK with 205,000 members in England, Wales and the Islands.

On Thurs 4th. Feb. 11 members of Belford W.I.attended Norham W.I.'s traditional annual Northumbrian tea party.The Guest Speaker was Mr. Morels M.B.E.who gave an illustrated talk entitled "Nostalgic Views of the North".He was an excellent speaker and showed some rare etchings, engravings and old photos of Newcastle and Durham.Afterwards there was a competition for "Your Favourite View of Northumberland".This was won by Belford W.I.We then had a beautiful homemade tea and everyone agreed it had been a really special afternoon.
