Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre is a small family business, run on a 1750 acre farm in the picturesque countryside of North Northumberland with Spectacular views to both the cheviots and the coast overlooking Holy Island. 

The Centre was established in 2005 by Claire Nixon; UKCC Level 4 Coach, BHS Accredited Professional Coach, BHS SM (BHS Stage 5 Care and Management), BHS II (Stage 4 Senior Coach in Complete Horsemanship), BHS Ride Safe Trainer and Assessor, an NVQ Assessor and IV. She also has an Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Sports Coaching Practice, Certificate in Education and Training, HND in Equine Management and qualifications in BHS Equine Specific First Aid & Child Protection. 

The Centre is the ONLY BHS Approved Riding Establishment in North Northumberland. We are also a Clubmarked, Riding Club Centre (New for 2015) and Pony Club Centre, which caters for adults and children 4 years and above, offering a mixture of qualified tuition and leisure rides which are all off road including to St.Cuthbert cave. 

All groups are taught in small sizes so that you can learn in a safe environment and get value for money. We currently have a range of 18 horses and ponies on our licence from 12'2hh to 16'2hh, quality cobs to competition horses. 

All riders have an assessment lesson to ensure that they are suited to the horse and competent to go on a hack, (all of our horses are well mannered & professionally schooled). Some of our clients travel from as far as Newcastle every week! 

What we do: Lessons for all abilities from 4 years and upwards Lessons on your own pony or horse also welcome  Pony Club Seniors (10 years and upwards) meetonce a fortnight on Monday night 6pm-7.30pm and Mini Pony Club (4 years and upwards) meet once a fortnight on a Wednesday night 4.30pm-5.30pm, both groups do stable management working towards their pony club tests and achievement badges. Terms and Conditions; When booking lessons, hacks or services you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. We highly recommend that each rider is adequately insured. BHS Gold Membership is very good.

We must have a contact number and or email address from anyone taking part; cancellations within 24 hours of booking (lesson, hack or service) must be paid for in full price, unless you are able to find an alternative rider to take your place.
